Museum of timber rafting

Part of the services of our company VOROPLAVBA Radek Šťovíček is the exhibition of the museum of rafting in Český Krumlov. Rafting Museum in the Gallery KrumlovLive in the former Church of St. Josta on the banks of the Vltava River in the town of Český Krumlov will introduce you to the history of rafting in our country, the traditions of rafting and the construction of rafts. In the exhibition you will see the second largest model of a raft spring in the Czech Republic built by members of the Vltavan Association in Purkarec.

The exhibition also includes a tour of the roofs of the Church of St. Jost on which the wood was floated in rafts. When visiting the exhibition, you can take advantage of the view from the church tower.

The Rafting Museum in Český Krumlov was created in cooperation with KrumlovLive and the patron of the museum, Radek Šťovíček, owner of the voroplavba company VOROPLAVBA.CZ s.r.o. The museum is dedicated to the memory of the last swimmer, Mr. Václav Husa, who was an emeritus swimmer of VOROPLAVBA Radek Šťovíček and who was a member of the association "In the Footsteps of Vltava Swimmers" and an honorary member of the "Vltavan v Purkarci Association" and the "Vltavan Davle Association".

A key figure in rafting in the Czech Republic was Václav Husa, a witness and emeritus swimmer of VOROPLAVBY.CZ.
